Flock and other Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) track millions of people without judicial oversight. The ACLU and EFF warn they’re mass surveillance tools. We want to de-flock our towns on Cape Cod, starting with Barnstable, where a town councilor is bringing forward a resolution. Barnstable currently uses Flock, but we oppose all ALPRs, regardless of brand. Real change doesn’t start in Washington — it starts at a podium in a small meeting room, with you at the mic.

Come to the Barnstable Town Council meeting on September 3rd in person. Even better, give a brief public comment (up to 3 minutes). Public comment happens at the start of the meeting, so if you want to speak, you won’t have to wait around.

Can’t speak? Just show up and clap in support. Residents’ voices carry extra weight with councilors, but anyone who drives through Barnstable should be there. Bring friends, family, and neighbors.
