Erica Tso Haidas of Belonging Books (and Taiki Magyar and Izzi Caplan of Big Tree) will screen their collaborative documentary project, “Unerased: Asian Voices of Cape Cod.”
Enjoy sandwiches then watch this documentary and discuss afterwards.
This approximately 40-minute film amplifies and highlights the voices and experiences of diverse members of our Asian community living or growing up on Cape Cod. This truly collaborative documentary project is personal to both Tso Haidas and Magyar. Magyar grew up in Sandwich, MA, and is half-Japanese and half-Caucasian. Tso Haidas moved to Cape Cod ten years ago and is first-generation Chinese-Canadian.
Erica Tso Haidas and some of the people in the film, will be available after the screening for some follow up questions from our attendees.
Please be mindful when you watch the documentary and ask yourself, why are the clips of current pop culture included? Probably not to make you laugh but to realize how the Asian community is portrayed in our culture.
