Yarmouth Residents: Now more than ever, it is time to VOTE LOCAL

Yarmouth Town Election, May 19, 2026

Vote on Ballot Question 4, to Support Equal Protection
Question Reads as Follows 4: Do you, as a citizen of the Town of Yarmouth, support the
Constitutional rights of all Yarmouth residents which guarantee equal protection of the laws to all people, regardless of nationality, citizenship or immigration status?

“Love our neighbors” is the core teaching of all our faiths. Our immigrant neighbors are the hard-working, tax-paying families who have defined the American Dream and have provided essential labor as part of our communities throughout history. As we know, our country was formed largely by immigrants.

In Yarmouth, our immigrant neighbors care for our elderly relatives and friends; tend the sick in healthcare offices and facilities; teach our students; work as builders, landscapers, gardeners, and cleaners; own a variety of businesses, keep many restaurants open; and provide many other vital professional services to our community.

On July 4, 2026, we will celebrate our country’s 250th Anniversary. Now is the time to stand with our neighbors and uphold our founding American ideals: “With liberty and justice for all”

Yarmouth’s Legal Counsel has confirmed that a YES vote:
-Does not make Yarmouth a “sanctuary city”
-Does not impact Yarmouth’s federal funding
-Does not affect Yarmouth police policy
