Come join us at the Woodland Labyrinth at Meetinghouse Farm at 11:00 AM, Sunday September 21, 2025, the day before the Autumnal Equinox,

(2135 Meetinghouse Way – Rt149 – in W. Barnstable. Ma).

We will have a relaxing, peaceful walk of discovery and spirit, followed by a potluck lunch for nourishment and community at the West Barnstable Community Building. Please RSVP, space is limited to 25 participants.

Walking the labyrinth is an ancient practice shared by a great many cultures around the world. Blessed with several examples of labyrinths on Cape Cod, one of the newest is a beautiful version of a seven circuit Chartres Cathedral style.

Spiritual in nature, the Labyrinth provides a peaceful setting for individuals and groups to walk for meditation and self-reflection. The design mimics patterns found in nature, and embraces the walker with a sense of harmony and balance.

Everyone’s experience is their own, as we each walk toward and away from the center, alternately approaching and moving away, while circling our perceived destination. It is a way of physicalizing the ever-changing nature of our lives, coming to peacefully embrace our sometimes challenging journeys.

Walking a labyrinth is an immersive experience anyone can do, designed for self-reflection and connection to nature. It can lead to a sense of calm and well-being as we simply walk the winding path.

There will be short introduction before we start. We’ll then do our quiet, reflective walk. We will then move on to the Community Building a few minutes up the road for a community pot-luck lunch.
