Federal Judge decision upholding MA assault weapon ban confirms that assault weapons, in all states, are NOT protected under the 2nd Amendment.

Thank you Attorney General Maura Healey.  Her Federal Court victory on Friday, April 6, 2018, has set a national precedent. We’ve been posting a series on the effort Maura Healey has made on our behalf to enforce the assault weapons ban by banning copycat weapons that had been slightly altered and sold as “compliant,” and…

Boycott the NRA, who to contact and how

The move to boycott the NRA has really taken off. It is one of the ways we can take action to change the control this organization has over our government and the GOP.
As more people contact companies to tell them they will not use their products and services, more are retracting their support for the NRA.
If you want to get involved it’s really simple.

Use your voice! Will your legislator support local immigrants?

The Safe Communities Act is stuck in committee and will die there, without ever making it to the floor for a legislative vote if the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security doesn’t act by FEBRUARY 7. This would mean the people we elect to serve us in the state legislature would not have the opportunity to REPRESENT us. Furthermore, Cape Cod has now become more anti-immigrant, as our own sheriff has now agreed to take money from the federal government to make his deputies extensions of ICE.

Call to Action: Immigration in MA, tell legislators and the governor to support ‘The Safe Communities Act’

Contact the chairs of the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security, the bill is sitting in this committee and will get nowhere if they don’t vote it out of committee and move it to the floor for a vote- DEADLINE Feb 7.
Among other things this bill, filed in both the MA house and the senate, operates within federal laws, despite what critics and opponents will say. Let’s be clear, this would not defy federal laws and subject us to the loss of federal funds. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
