Joint Indivisibles’ No Kings Debrief Followed by Discussion with State Auditor Diana DiZoglio about Gov’t Transparency.

Indivisible Upper Cape, Cape Cod Women for Change and Mid-Cape Indivisible are hosting a follow up to the No Kings 3 protest, with some planning and updates, then we will welcome State Auditor Diana DiZoglio with an important discussion about transparency in our State Government.

Diana will talk to us about how and why we, as the public, cannot see certain budgets in our state goverment (including some county.) She will explain how we can help her effort to get a question on the ballot called “Initiative Petition for a Law to Improve Access to Public Records” that will allow us to see how our money is spent and allow her to audit the currently untouchable state government budgets.

This a local Indivisible event!

Please RSVP so we can plan for numbers. We will have our big box of snacks, water and soda water. This meeting is for those who share our progressive ideals. MAGA supporters will asked to leave. We will have safety marshal’s present.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
