Rep. Xiarhos canceled thus we are canceling this meeting.

This was a last minute cancellation – late this afternoon via Rep. Xiarhos staff. With no time to schedule a replacement and considering we recently had a meeting, we are cancelling. Meanwhile we have three other events this week, including tomorrow’s standout at noon. We will be sending out info on upcoming meetings when confirmed. We have also requested Rep Xiarhos reschedule. If he is your Rep., you can also request he reschedule. We were looking forward to a discussion with him. Remember, he also holds a monthly constituent hours. Message from his staff:

“On behalf of Representative Xiarhos, I just want to sincerely thank you for your invitation to the Cape Cod Women for Change meeting this Tuesday evening. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected change in the schedule, he will be unable to attend as he will be traveling to a wake and funeral outside of the district, as well as several other district-related events that require his attention this evening.”

Details: Update and planning meeting at 6pm then Steve Xiarhos will join us at 7pm. A group went to his regular monthly meeting and requested he join us and he agreed. We will share our priorities and discuss what bills he’s filing and what actions he’s taking. There will be some an email with details about his positions up to now before this meeting. A couple people had suggested “why bother?” because he’s a Republican. Well, he’s had little push-back and it’s time he heard from a group like us, and it’s important for him to know that we will track his votes and bills. And yes, there will be refreshments as usual.
