Information Regarding Postcarding Campaigns
Frequently asked questions:

  1. Why do we write postcards:
    a. to make direct voter contact thereby encouraging
Democrats/Independents to get out and vote
    b. to create a welcoming community where people feel safe sharing their views
    and emotions
  2. Why can’t I pick up a pack of cards and do them at home?
    a. Some of the organizations we work with require us to provide our name
(CCWC) and to acknowledge by a defining QR code that each page has been
    completed and mailed.
    b. Sometimes we are limited in the campaigns we can access. If we provide
packets we may not have enough for those who sign up to attend.
    c. It is time consuming. There is a considerable investment of time required to
organize these events and packets would add a significant increase to that time. d.
Defeats the purpose of social community.

    the writers.

    a. We utilize specific organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to our
shared values and have a history of good performance.
  4. What voters are the focus?
    a. In general, the organizations target registered Democrats and may include
    some Independents.

According to online sources, Democrats have won a majority of these races. b.
Research shows that receiving a handwritten message increases voter turn out by
1.5-2%. Most of these voters will vote for the Democrat.
