It’s time for action!

It’s time for, at the very least, an ‘impeachment inquiry’ to begin.

In case you missed it, or if you want to review it, watch Mueller’s full statement here. Nine minutes. Worth your time.

From the national Indivisible Group:

Wednesday morning, Special Counsel Robert Mueller made his first public statement in two years since starting his investigation, and while it may have sounded dry, what he said was actually remarkable: “If we had confidence that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so… Charging the president with a crime is not an option we could consider.”

So what does this mean? Simple. Mueller’s hands were tied, and the Constitution is clear: only Congress can investigate and hold the president accountable.

That means it’s time to turn up the heat to make sure members of Congress use the full extent of their oversight and investigative powers to get the full truth and hold Trump accountable. That means doing their jobs and launching impeachment proceedings now.

Here’s what you can do right now

  1. Call your member of Congress (MoC) and demand that they support Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s Impeachment Resolution (H.Res.257). Only a few MoCs have spoken up in favor of impeachment (you can check if your member is a cosponsor here). It’s time that more do the right thing and support Rep. Tlaib’s resolution to begin impeachment investigations. Call… and keep calling.
  2. Flood your MoC’s inbox! After you’ve called, write a quick letter to demand your MoC hold Trump accountable and support Rep. Tlaib’s resolution to begin impeachment proceedings.
  3. Write a Letter to the Editor. Your member of Congress has staff that check news clips for mentions of their boss every single day. One of the ways to get on their radar is to submit letters to the editor to your local newspaper so that your community AND representative know exactly why you support impeachment and why you demand that they do the same.
  4. Record a video, share it, and tag your MoC on social media. Part of getting your member of Congress on the record about an issue you care about is taking control of the narrative and giving them cover as one of their constituents. Take two minutes now to record a quick video demanding your member of Congress hold Trump accountable.

Democrats in Congress may talk a big game about cover-ups and obstruction, but none of that makes any difference if they don’t take action. There is no excuse for any member of Congress to stay silent any longer. Check out our one-stop Mueller Time shop for more information, and then take action.

For months, we’ve said that Trump is not above the law. Now, we need Congress to hold him accountable.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team

Move to Remove is a grassroots, nonpartisan group of patriots dedicated to providing nonviolent public forums where concerned citizens can regularly gather to express their indignation at the outrageous words and actions of the President, his administration, and any other elected officials that aid and abet “treason, bribery, and high crimes and misdemeanors” against society and the natural environment. To be silent is to be complicit.
