Celebrate our historic wins in the midterms, hear about progressive priorities for 2019, and thank Congressman Keating for his work on our behalf. Cupcakes for all!

JOIN US AS WE:

  • ASSEMBLE at 1:00 PM in front of the Congressman’s office
  • MEET with members of Congressman Keating’s staff to relay our priorities for the new Congress, thank the Congressman for his work in the House, and call for his strong support for the democracy reform bill, H.R.1 and other progressive legislation
  • TALK with and HEAR from other activists as we celebrate our historic wins in November, learn what’s next, and….
  • EAT CAKE and CELEBRATE
  • This Day of Action—one of hundreds occurring nationwide—is designed to celebrate our historic midterm election results and help usher in a new Congress of progressive legislation and action! Foremost on our list is H.R. 1, the Democrats’ planned first bill to preserve democracy. The rally will also showcase other issues of deep concern including: health care, climate and environment (Green New Deal), immigration and a clean Dream Act, women’s and LGBTQ rights, and common-sense gun reform.

PLEASE JOIN US—AND THOUSANDS AROUND THE COUNTRY—TO CELEBRATE OUR PROGRESS AND COMMIT TO THE WORK AHEAD!

  • So glad to see this! I visited Rep. Keating’s staff a week or so ago with a group from Wellfleet, Barnstable High School and Yarmouth Port, and they were receptive, but, I do believe we have a ways to go in order for them to leave behind a sense of complacency (as if MA were leading on “all things climate related”) and step up to the Green New Deal in a wholly new and bold way. I can’t be there (as I’ll be meeting with the Town of Yarmouth staff as we begin planning to bring in Solarize MASS to Yarmouth (a way to get an even deeper discount on rooftop Solar in 2019). And, I’m guessing you all know that Rep. Keating is out on sick leave for awhile?
