Town-hall-300x245Lower Cape Indivisible and allied organizations are hosting a town hall meeting with Congressman Bill Keating on Tuesday, August 28, from 6:30-8:00 PM at First Parish Brewster Unitarian Universalist in Brewster. Congressman Keating will discuss varied subjects of interest and concern to Cape Cod constituents including federal policies affecting immigration, environment and climate change, health care/Affordable Care Act, tariffs and the economy, women and LGBTQ communities, foreign affairs and threats to the U.S. government.

The town hall will be moderated by Representative Sarah K. Peake, who will introduce the congressman and field questions from the audience. Free and open to the public, this presentation is an opportunity to hear from and ask questions of the congressman.

Keating was elected to the United States House of Representatives on November 2, 2010 and represents Massachusetts’ 9th Congressional District, which encompasses the state’s South Shore, South Coast, Cape Cod and the Islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Representative Peake has represented the Fourth Barnstable district in the Massachusetts House of Representatives since 2007.

Seating is limited. Please arrive 15 minutes early as the meeting will begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
